Lutheran Brothers was designated as a certified examination facility
by U.S. Customs and border protection in 1972.

In the beginning, we simply unloaded the cargo for the Customs agents to inspect and then reloaded upon release and approval from U.S. Customs.

Over the years, our exam site has grown to include additional services including:

• Applying country of origin labels/markings onto imported merchandise.
• Wood packaging material separations and re-exportation of untreated wood to country of origin.
• Short/Long term bonded storage.
• Palletizing and shrink wrapping

Our exam site is still utilized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for its examinations.

All the governmental agency offices that utilize our exam site are located within one mile. This close proximity makes it very convenient for them to send agents back and forth for exams.
